Seam tape is used to reinforce the seam of thin and stretchy fabrics before sewing the two pieces together. This makes the seam easier to work with. You can iron this onto the seam line of the fabric to prevent the seams from stretching or nicking. You can also iron it onto the cut edge of the fabric to prevent fraying and curling. Suitable for use in the seams of stretchy fabrics such as jersey. It also helps leather, suede, ultra-thin fabrics or imitations thereof feed more smoothly under the sewing machine. Seam tape is supple and thin and can be pressed nice and flat.
