Seam tape is used to reinforce the seam of thin and stretchy fabrics before sewing the two pieces together. The seam is then easier to work with. You can iron this onto the seam line of the fabric to prevent the seams from stretching or tearing. You can also iron it onto the raw edge of the fabric to prevent fraying and curling. Usable in the seams of stretchy fabrics such as jersey. You can also use it to feed leather, suede, ultra-thin fabrics or imitations thereof more smoothly under the sewing machine. Seam tape is supple and thin and can easily be pressed flat.
