The Magnolia jumper is a trendy jumper with cut-outs in the front or back piece. These cut-outs provide an edgy accent in a wonderfully comfy jumper. Use the dividing seam to create a fun colour block or accentuate the seam with contrasting piping.
Finish with a neckband or hood.
You make the Magnolia jumper from jersey. This can be a thinner T-shirt jersey as well as a heavier jersey such as French terry or sweatshirt jersey.
Fabric requirement:
Depending on your size, length and chosen style, you will need more or less fabric. The choice between colour block or a single fabric is also important to determine your fabric requirement. As a general rule: the length of the garment + the length of the sleeve. E.g.: length 60cm + sleeve 60cm = 120cm.
Add to this the height for any cuffs and seam allowances.
