Has an insulating effect, helps against the heat in summer and against the cold in winter.
For an optimal effect, it is best to ensure that there are no light gaps; let the fabric fit as closely as possible against the window frames or walls.
Blackout fabric consists of 3 layers, the outer layers have the same colour, the inner layer is always black and provides the blackout effect (which means that light-coloured fabrics are just as room-darkening as dark-coloured fabrics).
